Wesley Miller's Eagle Scout Project

The American Flag is as symbol of freedom and hope around the world. It's why 15-year-old Wesley Miller of Troop 331 in Collierville, TN is dedicating his Eagle Scout Project to it, while honoring a man who fought for it more than 70 years ago.

Wesley's project is two-fold. First, he is erecting a flagpole at the Forever Young Senior Veterans' office complete with lighting, landscaping, and a commemorative plaque. Secondly, he hopes to raise an additional $5,200 to fully fund Ed Higginbothom's trip back to Europe with Forever Young in May.

Ed served in the artillery on the front lines from Normandy to Czechoslovakia. He was in the infamous Battle of the Bulge and this will be his first time back to Belgium since the war ended.

We hope you'll consider supporting Wesley is his efforts to honor an aging hero, as he earns the coveted rank of Eagle Scout.
